Darmstadt's many green spaces, cycle paths and the surrounding forest belt offer great routes out into the countryside to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a day in the countryside. But there are also walking routes within the city that stimulate the mind, convey the architecture and history of the city and have many cafés, parks and even a UNESCO World Heritage Site along the way! The routes lead along streets, alleyways and country lanes, past rose beds, cows and stately buildings - Darmstadt is versatile and perfect for a voyage of discovery on foot!
