Conditions of participation
Raffle as part of the Mathildenhöhe short survey
The competition starts on 20 June 2025 and ends on 31 October 2025 at midnight.
To take part in the competition, you must complete the short survey on Mathildenhöhe and provide your email address to be notified if you win.
Participants will be entered into a prize draw to win a personalised city tour (duration 2 hours, up to 25 people) from the guided tours offered by Darmstadt Marketing (excluding guided tours at ESA and EUMETSAT as well as experience tours). Cash payment of the prize is not possible.
Each person can only participate once, multiple participation is not permitted.
Procedure
The competition runs as follows:
Complete the short survey about your visit to the Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt and you will automatically be entered into the competition. The prerequisite is that you answer ‘Yes’ to ‘I would like to take part in the competition’ in the questionnaire at the end of the survey and enter your email address in the subsequent field so that we can contact you if you win.
The winner will be drawn at random from all survey participants after the end of the campaign.
The winner will be informed by email after the draw.
Participation, disqualification from the competition or prize draw
All persons who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation are eligible to participate. Employees of Darmstadt Marketing GmbH, its affiliated companies and competition partners, including members of the aforementioned groups, are excluded from participation.
Exclusion
Darmstadt Marketing may exclude participants from the competition who manipulate or attempt to manipulate the participation process, the game and/or the competition pages and/or violate these conditions of participation and/or otherwise attempt to influence the competition or the handling of the competition in an unfair and/or dishonest manner, in particular by interfering with the software used. In such cases, prizes may also be subsequently cancelled and reclaimed.
Reservation
Darmstadt Marketing reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons, insofar as this is reasonable for the participants in the competition, taking into account the interests of Darmstadt Marketing. This applies in particular if, for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware/software) or for legal or other reasons, the proper organisation of the competition cannot be guaranteed.
In this case, Darmstadt Marketing will decide at its reasonable discretion whether the prizes offered will be awarded according to the originally intended procedure or according to a different procedure among the entries received up to the time of cancellation.
Miscellaneous
Should individual provisions of the conditions of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining conditions of participation shall remain unaffected. They shall be replaced by an appropriate provision that comes closest to the purpose of the invalid provision.
Legal recourse is excluded for our competitions and prize draws. The contact person and person responsible for all information provided is solely Darmstadt Marketing GmbH. Questions, comments or complaints about the competition should be sent to touristikmarketing@darmstadt.de.

2. Purpose and legal basis of data processing
We process your data in order to analyse your feedback to improve our products and services. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. In certain cases, data processing may also be based on your voluntary consent, provided you have given it to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
3. Type of data collected
We collect and process the following data as part of the feedback:
- Email adress: For participation in the prize draw for an individual group tour
4. Storage duration
Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes. The data will either be deleted or anonymised no later than 6 months after completion of the evaluation.
5. Recipient of the data
Your data will be processed exclusively by authorised employees of Darmstadt Marketing GmbH and for the evaluation of the feedback. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless you have expressly consented to this or we are legally obliged to do so.
6. Transmission to third countries
Your data will not be transferred to third countries outside the EU or the EEA. If this becomes necessary in the future, we will ensure that an adequate level of data protection exists, for example by concluding standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
7. Your rights as a data subject
You have the right:
- to information about the personal data processed by us (Art. 15 GDPR),
- to rectification of inaccurate data or completion of your data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- to erasure of your data, provided there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary (Art. 17 GDPR),
- to restriction of processing of your data (Art. 18 GDPR),
- to data portability, i.e. the transfer of your data in a machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR),
- to object to the processing of your data on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR),
- to withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR).
