Site tour at Merck
We will take you on an exciting tour of the Merck campus, where you will gain an insight into various innovative research and production areas.
Delve even deeper into the three business sectors and the history of the company and experience how Merck is shaping the future!
We invite relevant visitors and partners as well as groups with a STEM focus (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) from our environment to site tours.
These include, among others:
- Institutions and interest groups from the local area
- School classes from Year 8 with a STEM focus
- Career guidance groups
- Students on technical or scientific degree programmes

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes*
*Please allow approx. 2 hours for the entire visit and site tour.

Information for visitor groups
Meeting point
The meeting/starting point for the plant tours is always the visitor reception in the Innovation Centre, Frankfurter Str. 250, Building B31. Please arrive at the visitor reception at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour to speed up admission.
Parking
Car park for visitors. Charging stations for electric vehicles are available.
Duration
Guided tours regularly last 90 minutes, individual arrangements must be made directly with Darmstadt Marketing. Please allow approx. 2 hours for the entire site tour.
Pre-registration of guests
Groups are registered for the visitor reception by Darmstadt Marketing. So that we can prepare the visitor IDs ahead of time, please register the participants at least 1 week (5 business days) in advance using the list of participants. Please give us further information about your group in the ‘Additional remarks’ field, e.g. participants with wheelchairs or walking aids. Further information will follow after booking.
Please note that an identification check is required when entering the premises of Merck Darmstadt.
This can be done with one of the following documents:
- Passport
- identity card
- Child ID*
- Student ID*
*Children's and school ID cards are only recognised by the visitor reception for persons under the age of 16!

Bus hire for your site tour at Merck
Please note that every plant tour is organised as a bus tour! It is therefore essential to book a bus.
If you need assistance with the bus booking, please contact us or give us a short note when enquiring about your tour. The bus is provided by Omnibusbetrieb Winzenhöler GmbH & Co. KG, Darmstadt Marketing GmbH will organise the coach according to your request.
If you are travelling with your own coach, please inform us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
