The vinocentral is a wine and speciality retailer, coffee roastery, caffè and wine bar all in one! Since it moved into the rooms of the abandoned railway station hotel in 1993 in the style of the late Art Nouveau, it has brought urban flair to Darmstadt's main railway station.

Today, you can find over 1,600 European wines in the shop, over 40 of which are on tap. For a surcharge of 18 euros, you can enjoy any bottle from the range on the spot in a pleasant ambience.

Following the Italian model, you can enjoy an espresso or latte macchiato standing up at the Caffè Bar, choosing from six different types of coffee. Or take a seat at one of the long wooden tables and enjoy sandwiches, warm foccace, antipasti or a freshly prepared soup of the day with a glass of wine.

In addition to the wines, which are also available online, and coffee and espresso creations from the in-house roastery, the range includes a large selection of ham, sausages and cheeses, as well as an extensive selection of antipasti, olive oils, aceto balsamico, pasta, risotto, truffles, sugo, pesto and confectionery.

The staff are just as diverse as the wine, coffee and specialities on offer: The 28-strong team consists of different characters, professions, nationalities and age groups. Two young people with disabilities are also employed at vinocentral. All of them work with passion, expertise and attention to detail to ensure that shopping and spending time at vinocentral is a pleasure.
