3D-Modell von Darmstadt online abrufbar
Darmstadt 3D is a new, three-dimensional and fully textured city model of the science city of Darmstadt that is available online. Based on current aerial photographs and laser scan data, it depicts the entire city area in detail – including buildings, streets, trees, terrain features and high-resolution aerial photographs.
The browser-based service is accessible at 3D.darmstadt.de. Users can measure distances and areas, simulate shadows, analyse visibility, share views or export them as PDF files, among other things. An integrated address search function makes it easier to find your way around.
‘Darmstadt 3D’ supports urban planning, construction projects and analyses of climate risks, infrastructure or urban development, for example, while also promoting transparency and citizen participation. In the future, the model will form the basis for an urban digital twin that will link various data sources and support informed decisions in administration and politics.
