For 10 days, more than 100 studios, companies, universities and institutions across the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region will open their doors. Open Design Week Frankfurt Rhine-Main showcases how design comes to life in practice – from craftsmanship and the creative industries to research, technology and industry. Discover places that are not usually open to the public, meet the people behind the ideas, and see how design makes new solutions possible.

On 11 June 2026, Darmstadt will take centre stage at the World Design Capital Frankfurt Rhine-Main 2026 with Open Design Week. On this day, agencies, studios, cultural institutions and companies will open their doors free of charge, offering a glimpse into their spaces and activities.

Whether it’s a studio tour, workshop discussion, exhibition or a look behind the scenes, Darmstadt’s agencies and studios will open their doors between 10:00 and 18:00. The city will be transformed into a vibrant stage for design.

Visitors, industry professionals or students – everyone is warmly invited to drop by all participating venues on this day, free of charge and without prior registration.
