car park: Lichtwiese
The TU Darmstadt has opened its multi-storey car park on the Lichtwiese to the public. 467 parking spaces can be used by residents, students and visitors to the Vivarium or the Botanical Garden, for example, for 2.50 euros a day from 5.30 am to 10.30 pm.
The parking spaces can also be reserved and paid for online. The smartphone then opens the barriers. This is made possible by Book-n-Park, the digital parking control system from the Darmstadt-based company Green Mobility Solutions (GMS).
Parking operators can define prices and free booking periods themselves via the Book-n-Park dashboard. In addition to the possibility of digitally controlling barriers, gates or even lockers and bicycle boxes, Book-n-Park's parking hangers can also be used to securely reserve and keep free individual spaces or charging stations for electric cars online.
On the booking platform www.book-n-park.de, an account with your own e-mail address can be created free of charge under "Login". Then select the location and booking time and pay by Paypal. A link is sent to the email address, which can be used to digitally open the car park with your own smartphone during the booked period.
