Nachhaltige Anreise

Up to 75 percent of a vacation's CO₂ emissions are caused by the journey to and from the destination.
The choice of transport therefore has a decisive influence on the sustainability of a trip. Traveling by train or long-distance bus is particularly environmentally friendly.
Locally, bicycles and local public transport offer the best combination of flexibility and a large radius of action. If a car is required, car sharing services are available. Detailed information is available at the Darmstadt Shop on Luisenplatz, where pedelecs are also available for hire.
Tip: Guided or individually planned walking and cycling tours in the city are a great way to explore Darmstadt sustainably.
