Darmstadt Christmas Market
A stroll through Darmstadt's Christmas market, with its aroma of gingerbread and mulled wine, arts and crafts, and Advent atmosphere, will put you in the Christmas spirit.
The Christmas Market takes place on the market square, Friedensplatz and Ernst-Ludwigs-Platz, while Luisenplatz is home to the Christmas village and Ludwigsplatz to the winter village.
Culinary and craft specialities invite you to enjoy the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle at the Darmstadt Christmas Market. The Advent decorations in the city centre and the Christmas trees on the market square, Luisenplatz and Ludwigsplatz create a festive atmosphere.
Opening hours:
Monday to Thursday: 12 noon – 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 12 noon – 10 p.m.
Sunday: 12 noon – 9 p.m.
Winter Village Ludwigsplatz
Monday to Saturday: 12 noon – 7 p.m., closed on Sundays
The Christmas market is closed on Remembrance Sunday (23 November).
