Railway Museum Darmstadt-Kranichstein

Eisenbahnmuseum Darmstadt-Kranichstein©Bahnwelt

In the former rail depot, the "Verein Museumbahn" presents over 200 railway vehicles from all stages of rail history. The programme consists of guided tours through the vehicle fleet, a collection of historical signals and points and a model of the Main-Neckar railway. Steam train rides also take place regularly.

The museum can only be visited on a guided tour due to the risk of accidents. These take place at predefined times: 10.30 am - 12 pm, 12.30 pm - 2 pm, 2.30 pm - 4 pm.

In order to apply the necessary distance rules to the spatial conditions and to avoid queues at the ticket office, please register in advance via the website (online shop).

Spontaneous visits without booking an appointment can unfortunately only be accepted if the maximum number of 10 participants for the respective tour has not yet been reached. Visitors with reservations have priority.
