In July 2021, the "Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt" was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is an outstanding example of experimental architecture of the early 20th century consisting of wedding tower, exhibition building, museum artists' colony, plane tree grove and artists' houses. The guided tour of Mathildenhöhe tells the story of the entire ensemble with studio building, exhibition building, artists' houses and park. Afterwards, a visit to the Museum Künstlerkolonie Darmstadt or the Wedding Tower is worthwhile - from the observation deck on the 7th floor you can overlook the city as far as the Frankfurt skyline.
